Get INTO Our Business… Cards!

FullSizeRender

The next stage in promoting City-State is… business cards!  I created these through VistaPrint.  VistaPrint was very simple (and loaded with suggestions for multiple products and upgrades – be sure to read each section of VistaPrint).    This process took a little time (yes, more patience), but I am thrilled with the outcome.  James and I have a limited budget, so I couldn’t go super crazy with the design – there are upgrades and limits for different price options.

The top picture is the front of the card, and the bottom is the back of the card.

These will mesh perfectly with the hard copy of the anthology.  I cannot wait for a book signing!

Up next: bookmarks!

What do you think?  Please let us know!

And don’t forget… City-State makes a great gift:

Kindle Unlimited members can download and read The Dystopian Nation of City-State for FREE! If you do not have a membership, sign up for other great books and novels! If you do not have a Kindle, download the Kindle app.

Or… our anthology is available through amazon for $1.99. Make someone’s Christmas merry with this dystopian paradise!

The hard copy version is coming soon; it is awaiting final approval.

  1. Hi!

You guys recently followed my blog today (thank you so much!). You happened to be my lucky number 70 blog follower. I told myself when I hit 70 followers, I would reward someone with a free copy of my book. Please feel free to contact me to claim you copy. Thank you again for taking time to read my blog, and I definitely look forward to reading your blog in the near future as I am now a fellow follower 🙂 Happy Holidays!!

  2. I like the cards! I never thought about making up any for myself as I do virtually all of my marketing…virtually. 🙂
I admit I can’t in good conscience have bookmarks made until I have a print book available, but I think they are a superb idea.
I hope you have great success in 2015, and enjoy the holiday season!

    1. Thank you! I want to go to book signings when the hard copy is ready (this is a process in itself…), so I at least want to hand out something if people want to chat. 🙂 Thanks for visiting City-State!

  4. I, too, am a fan of VistaPrint…I am a Close To My Heart scrapbooking and papercrafting consultant, and their two-sided cards were so affordable. Can’t wait to see your bookmarks (and the hard-copy of your book). – Fawn

    1. Fawn – Hello! Thanks for the comment. 🙂

I have been browsing for book mark templates, websites, and prices, and I cannot seem to find one I like. Close To My Heart? Can you design your own stuff (in this case, book marks – or a longer paper product that can serve as a book mark)? Is the website http://www.closetomyheart.com? Assuming due to the title… 🙂 Can you help?

Yes! The hard copy… James has had some trouble with formatting the text and the book cover, but it should be out soon. I can’t wait to put it in libraries and get it off for sale! 🙂

      Thanks for your help! 🙂

  5. VistaPrint is great. I used their services to get a few hundred free cards (I just had to pay for shipping). They were basic, with a bit of graphics, but they looked good to me, and the price couldn’t be beat! Your cards look very, very nice. I guess you got some upgrades : D

    1. Hello! How did you get free cards? 🙂

Thanks for the compliment – I can’t wait to get out there and hand them out. The hard copy version of our anthology is almost ready, so I am ready to start the “pounding the pavement” element of marketing.

I bought one hundred cards for about $33 (including shipping). I also want to take advantage of VistaPrint’s other stuff – the coffee mug looked really cool with City-State’s scape on the front.

Thanks for visiting! Have a great day! 🙂

      1. Hey, there,

I believe I received a special promo price years ago. I had to choose from just a few basic designs, but it was 500 cards (free) and I think the shipping was about $5. They probably don’t offer those deals anymore.
