Hello! I hope everyone is having a great day!
Our chapter by chapter release of the novel StarChild continues with Chapter Four: The Vote of Acclaim. Read Chapter Four HERE.
Enjoy the boisterous Senate hearing as the dashing Supreme Judge Kaisin Harkin appears before his colleagues to sway the vote for the controversial S-Amendment to the StarChild Act.
Stay tuned…
Hey, I finally got around to reading. I actually read the first three chapters earlier, but reading them on a tablet makes it hard to comment, so I’m just going to say a few things here.
Which, mostly what I wanted to say was on the characters, who have been pretty brilliant. From the cabbie in the first chapter with his apparent recklessness and careless attitude, to the four doctors–Alaya with her sassitude where she takes no guff and is, as said, a handful; Dr. Smith, with a lighthearted attitude that seems to be a cover for quite some stress; Dr. Koenig (pffft just realized, Dr. King), who, with just six lines, seems skeptical, perhaps resentful, and hides that with not-really-joking; and then we have Jeremy (a name slightly awkward for me, I don’t see it too often, actually), the new kid on the block, surprised and not totally at ease with what he’s seeing, his expectations have been met and then thrown out the window. Slightly used and mostly confused. Or maybe that last one was just a quote.
Hey, let’s hope my analysis is right. Characters has always been one of my favorite parts of stories, so it’s good to see a strong showing here! I’m gonna go take a nap now. This was a long comment for me.

Thank you SO much for reading! You are the best!
James and I are working on the next few chapters. We have limited time to write due to our full time jobs, so putting individual chapters up on this blog is the least we can do to “release” material – LOL!
You are right on! My favorite is Supreme Judge Harkin, and his character is a little more developed later. Right now, the focus is on the doctors.
And the cabbie will come back – he’s a little “special” 😉
Thank you so much for reading – I really mean that! Thank you so much!
