After the United States fell in the year 2195, The Builders forged the new nation of City-State. It wasn’t long, however, that corruption and evil began to weave their way into the idealistic city of peace and knowledge. The Builders are gone, their legacy – which should have ushered in a new era of global peace – has been tainted by the government meant to administer it. The government sells the Builders’ legacy of knowledge to the highest bidder, when it was meant to be shared.
The Elites and Government have used this Treasure Trove to dominate the unknowing populace. Distraction and entertainment are the newest and deadliest weapons of control.
Now, it’s 3211, and the nation of City-State is in the firm grasp of greedy senators, elites, and power hungry judges. The illusion of choice abounds. Actual freedom is nowhere to be seen. The ruling class is drunk on power. The people don’t even know their starving for freedom.
Take a look at our Novel coming out – chapter by chapter – on this blog. Take a look at the store and pick up some cheap kindle reads (most are $1 or less).
James and I hope you enjoy this science fiction wonderland of deceit, greed, and control.
Please let us know what you think!
Happy reading,
James Courtney and Kaisy Wilkerson-Mills

Hi. I just read “A Feral Mind”. I like it very much. I will have to backtrack to the beginning piece. But in reading the header ‘About’ blurb, I don’t think you’ll have to wait until the year 2200. Maybe more like 2200 minutes at this rate. I will check in on posts. Following now.

City-State is a crazy place! Some of these dark ideas and concepts (in all of our pieces) feel kind of “in the now”, right? Ugh… Sort of scary!
Thanks again! I hope you continue reading! 🙂

I can hear the drones buzzing over my head. I can feel their cameras capturing my every move. I feel like Smith in 1984, despite having a modern hairstyle and using the latest technology. In my world, sex was substituted by technology. Wisdom was overtaken by uniformity. This is no proletariat or religious warfare. This is what entered our homes while we were watching reality on the TV.
I wish you good luck with your work and I’m looking forward to it.

James and I are really excited to create – and continue to create this world.
We have been told that City-State is a small reminder and reflection of 1984.
Have a wonderful day – – and watch out for those drones. 🙂

If you ever have any animated graphix or storyboard I might be able to do let me know.
Not very good at character animation but can do landscapes, places and city vistas, dystopian or surreal !

Would this sort of thing be of any interest.?
Just a test render for something else…
Stylized (cartoony) is easier than photo-realistic
New and perfect is easier than old and damaged.

That’s cool! Maybe when James and I get to the point where we can afford a book trailer… Those graphics are great! Check out our anthology (book) cover – most recent post). City-State is set in the future with HUGE skyscrapers and underground layers… With a zigguart Capitol building…
